Wax Types

These are the waxes we use when we make our candles:

The mottling wax is our standard wax, and our trademark. We love this for its sheen, translucent quality and dimension, it holds fragrance very well, and no two candles look exactly the same. It is even more beautiful in person than photos can display! When lit, the top 25% of the candle glows from within due to the translucency. This works well with nearly any decor or occasion. When a candle order is placed, this is the default wax unless another is specifically selected.

 This is our smooth wax; it has a very creamy texture. It is opaque and when lit, the candle does not glow from within. Perfect for when a more elegant presentation is desired, such as for a very formal wedding. If you wish to order your candles with smooth wax, please make sure to check the "smooth" box when ordering. There is no extra charge.
Soy wax also has a creamy texture, and is opaque. It is softer than the other waxes, and is best used as container candles because of its low melting point. We can make pillar candles from soy, but additives are required for the candle to keep its shape while burning (the smooth wax would be a better alternative, but we'll be happy to make your order in soy). It is a more expensive wax, and we do add 15% to the candle price. However, you'll find that the finished product is worth it! If you wish to order soy candles, please contact us first at wax@twinpeaksambrosium.com so that we can give you pricing, and to make sure that we have enough soy in stock to fulfill your order.
